Effective date: 13 August 2026
These Terms of Service govern quotations, bookings, payments and delivery services arranged through SSG Logistics. By submitting a booking request or paying for a delivery, you agree to these terms.
1. Our service
SSG Logistics arranges door-to-door road transport in Gauteng using approved independent owner-driver partners. We remain the customer's point of contact for the booking. A request is not a confirmed booking until availability, the final price and collection details have been confirmed by SSG Logistics.
2. Quotes and prices
Website estimates are based on the addresses, distance, vehicle category, loading assistance and information supplied by the customer. Prices are displayed in South African rand and include VAT where applicable. The final price may change if the route, goods, access conditions, waiting time, tolls, vehicle requirement or requested services differ from the information supplied. Any material change will be communicated before the additional charge is accepted.
3. Customer responsibilities
You must provide accurate contact, collection, delivery and goods information; select a suitable vehicle category; disclose unusually heavy, fragile, valuable or hazardous items; ensure lawful and safe access; package goods appropriately; and have an authorised person available at collection and delivery. Loading assistance is provided only when selected and charged at the amount shown in the quote.
4. Restricted goods
We do not knowingly transport illegal goods, weapons, explosives, hazardous substances, live animals, cash, negotiable instruments or goods that cannot lawfully or safely be carried. We may decline or stop a delivery if the goods differ materially from their description or create a safety or legal risk.
5. Payments
Unless SSG Logistics agrees otherwise in writing, payment is required before dispatch. Online payments are processed securely by Payfast by Network. We do not receive or store complete card details. A booking may be held until the payment provider confirms successful payment.
6. Cancellations and refunds
- If SSG Logistics cancels or cannot provide the confirmed service, the customer will receive a full refund for the unperformed service.
- A customer cancellation made before a driver is allocated is eligible for a full refund.
- After a driver has been allocated but before travelling to collection, reasonable committed costs may be deducted, up to 20% of the booking price.
- Once the driver is travelling to, or has arrived at, the collection point, the call-out and work already performed are non-refundable. Any refundable balance will be assessed fairly.
- Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method and may take 5–10 business days to reflect, depending on the payment provider or bank.
To cancel or request a refund, contact us with the booking or tracking number. See our full Refund & Returns Policy. These rules do not limit any non-waivable rights under South African consumer law.
7. Collection, delivery and delays
Collection and delivery times are estimates unless expressly agreed otherwise. Traffic, weather, road closures, vehicle breakdowns, customer delays and other circumstances outside reasonable control may affect timing. We will use reasonable efforts to communicate material delays.
8. Inspection, risk and claims
You should identify visible damage before collection and inspect goods promptly on delivery. Any loss or damage claim must be reported as soon as reasonably possible with the tracking number, description, photographs and proof of value. We are not responsible for ordinary wear, inadequate packaging, inherent defects, undisclosed fragility, inaccurate instructions or loss caused by prohibited goods, except where the law provides otherwise.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, SSG Logistics is not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Any assessment of direct loss will take account of the circumstances, evidence, customer instructions, packaging and applicable law.
10. Personal information and communications
We process personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. You agree that we may send operational messages about quotations, payments, collection, tracking and delivery. Marketing messages require a separate lawful basis or consent and may be opted out of.
11. Changes, law and disputes
We may update these terms prospectively by publishing a revised version and effective date. South African law applies. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a complaint. Customers may also use remedies available under applicable consumer-protection law.
